PECS-Based Visual Schedule for Autistic Kids

Great size visual schedule. Decided to try this for my neurodivergent 6yr old who struggles with transitions. I didn’t think it would actually help but day 1 she was absolutely drawn to it and very intrigued. I found her looking it over throughout the day and asking me about various events. She referenced it in several conversations. Maybe it’s just new and interesting and it will wear off, but today seemed to be a good day with few meltdowns. I’ll try to update in a few months with any progress I notice. This particular set has a great variety of activities but also includes additional activities as stickers that you can place on blank tiles. The backs are magnetic rather than Velcro, which I find more durable and user friendly. The board folds up for easy transport throughout the day too. It’s a decent size when open so you can arrange however works best for you (day, week, etc)My only complaints are the magnets aren’t super strong, so sometimes they fall off when moving around. Also, the board isn’t really long enough to have all 7 days of the week because two columns would work best for each day, so it’s kind of annoying to have to leave a day off the end of the week.

This is a game changer for my three year old. She despises the constant reminders of what she has to do through out the day and this makes it so much more fun for her. She gets to have more independence to see what is coming up next in her routines and I love that it comes with activity magnets like the library or a play date. Originally I wanted to put this up on the wall, but the magnets slide off if the “book” is stood upright. However, the magnets will stick to a regular white board, so now we have some of the magnets on a white board on the wall that show what special activities she’s doing for the day and then we use the “book” for her daily routine. I do wish they came with more of some of the blank magnet squares and extra stickers. Specifically I could use more potty ones and wash your hands. But I just copied the sticker page and then glued them to an old magnetic business card. Overall this routine chart is highly functional and has really made a difference for us.

A great way to get toddlers excited to get through the day! Great quality, sturdy, thick and the magnets are heavy duty. The size and pictures are big enough for little ones to understand and see. It comes with plenty of pre made cards as well as a few blank ones to create ypur own. Over all I love the concept and highly recommend.

This schedule is nice! It is magnetic so you can easily change it if you have to. It is easy to use and the children love checking it! This is a great schedule and well worth the money. I highly recommend it!

My wife was really excited to try this with the kids. It's nice that the whole tri-fold book is magnetic and that the magnetic tiles themselves are thick. They are so easy to pick up and utilize. And you don't need long fingernails to get them off of the board.The stickers to be put on the blank tiles were nice and easy to use. The blank tiles weren't actually entirely blank - the words do show through, but only a little.
