Brilliant idea.wish I knew about this sooner

I have a child with selective mutism..she only speaks in certain places and not at playschool or social events..this has come in so handy for getting her needs met without using her voice..before getting this she used to get really emotional when she needed something because she couldn't speak to ask but now she just points to this and pushes whichever button she needs..brilliant that you can make your own extra recordings too.I try not to rely on this too much as it makes it too easy for her not to speak but for the time been it's a brilliant device and good that the volume can be turned up and down so not everyone needs to hear.the voices are clear and the buttons are big enough and also have pictures on themOverall an excellent product that gets me out of tricky situations without meltdownsI would happily pay the stated price

Overall, I like this AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device quite a bit.PROS:◦ It is a nice size at about 11” L x 3 3/16” W x 5/8” thick.◦ The battery compartment requires the use of a mini-screwdriver to be opened (a safety plus).◦ It comes with the required 3 LR1130 batteries; replacement batteries are affordable on Amazon.◦ There are 4 volume levels and the loudest is just right (not overly loud; see my video)◦ The 24 prerecorded sound bites are mostly intuitive.◦ There are 6 buttons to create customizable sound bites and they can easily be changed.NIT:◦ The buttons work better when pressed deliberately.Overall, to me this is a very good value in the low twenty-dollar (US) range at the time of this review. It comes with a nice soft material drawstring carrying / storage bag, the required 3 LR1130 batteries, and instructions. I like almost everything about it even with the button nit noted above.

Has so many functions to help communicate

What a great tool to have for nonverbal or delayed individuals. This has so many functions on it to communicate between ADL and moods of how your feeling etc, also has a few buttons you can customize to fit your needs. Comes with a bag for storage or to take with travel. Very light weight and easy to use. Well worth the money.

Easy to use!

This works really well. It comes with batteries already. The buttons are easy to see and easy to press. The volume is a bit lower than I would prefer though. This is great for anyone non verbal. The price is great for the quality too.

Useful for dementia suffers and their carers

I got this for my elderly mum. She struggles to communicate at times and this is a great way for her to interact using the simply symbols that cover most every day situations. It is early days but she finds it quite amusing and engaging.I found that the buttons worked best when you both pressed them and held the back firmly at the same time. They are not touch operated but neither are they like a conventional keyboard button either. I do wonder how well they will stand up to any abuse or repeated hard pressing.The other niggle is the volume - it is not that loud even at maximum setting.Overall happy to recommend.
