Wooden Abacus for Kids – Counting & Math Learning Toy for Preschoolers

This is a great product! The abacus is sturdy. Nice calm colors. My daughter loves to play with it! The only reason I went down a star is because the number cards are just a card stock material. I see them getting ripped easily. Other than that it’s great!!

My daughter is 8 years old, and her tutor suggested getting her an abacus to help with her math studies, so I purchased this one.The size is perfect for studying at the table, and the neutral color is super cute!! My daughter says she loves it too. It looks like learning math is going to be a lot more fun!!

I am neutral on this abacus. On one hand, it's small, colorful and stands on the counter well. On the other hand, the rows are so close together, the beads are so small for my 5 year old's small hands and the stand isn't adjustable like others. I do like the colors and that it's wooden, but I am going to be looking for another brand that is easier for my daughter to use. When she is trying to move beads in one row, her hand bumps the upper or lower beads in the rows next to the one she is trying to use. I think this might be better for older children, but not so great for kindergarten, first or second grade just learning addition and subtraction. If the beads were larger or the rows spaced further apart, it would be easier for smaller hands to use.
